Auction Teacher continually works to improve and
upgrade our technical platform; recently a major
upgrade was integrated into our web builder to
protect our website owners from any attempts by the
public to conduct unscrupulous credit card fraud. As
an added security measure our Auction Teacher
programmers added “CAPTCHA” authentication to the
Builder checkout pages. This requires that the any
customer or purchaser MUST enter two random words
that will appear in a scrambled Jpeg image to
complete any checkout. A customer can either type in
the two words presented to them, or they can request
2 new words, or a short audio clip can be played
which recites a number sequence of 8 numbers and the
customer must enter in the 8 numbers. A “Help”
button is also provided for those that are having
difficulty with the first 2 methods. This is
creative and simple step that will help to prevent
credit card fraud.
