The UPS Shipping Calculator is now available for use on your website! Now, there are a few steps that any customer who wishes to use the UPS integrated system, must go through before being able to use UPS shipping estimates for shipping calculations. Basically, all that is needed is to sign up for FREE with UPS, which costs you nothing, until you ship something.
ALL THAT IS NEEDED IS TO FOLLOW THE 6 STEPS BELOW AND USE THE LINKS PROVIDED WHEN STARTING EACH STEP.
There is no cost to set up this service offered by UPS.

your website for a small fee. All you need to
do is sign up. All you need to do is sign up,
and you are only charged by UPS if you ship your
products using your UPS account.

UPS will email you a confirmation of your registration. Keep that email.
- After registration, get a UPS Account, by using this link:

To signup for a UPS account, you, the customer, will have to be approved online by UPS, a Social Security number is NOT required. If UPS is unable to approve you, you must place a valid credit card on file with UPS, that is ONLY CHARGED when a package is shipped.
Once this step is completed, UPS will email you a confirmation that your new UPS account has been created. Keep that email.
- After STEPS 1-2 are completed, you must obtain a DEVELOPER KEY, by logging in at this link:

Then you should click on “UPS Rates & Service Selection” only.
- Once Step 3 is complete, you need to obtain an XML / HTML ACCESS KEY. The link for this is available once you’ve finished step 3.
- Once all of the above steps are completed, the User’s USERNAME, PASSWORD and ACCESS KEY need to be stored in the in the UPS INFO TAB (under My Account) in your WebCenter. Then you must fill in the SHIP STATE and ZIP fields, and then check the box for “ENABLED” to activate the various UPS shipping options on your website. From this tab, various UPS options such as Shipping Location, Pick-up Type and Supported Services can also be selected. Then as always, you must click SAVE CHANGES.
- Once you have ENABLED this feature in the UPS INFO tab, the EDIT PRODUCTS PAGES in the catalog will have new field for “WEIGHT” available. For accurate estimates for shipping, this “WEIGHT” field should be completed for each product; if not it will default to 1. To utilize this Shipping Table you MUST go to the Product Page in your Catalog and enter a weight for each product. Then during the checkout process, your customer will be able to select from the various UPS shipping options you have selected, to have the SHIPPING AMOUNT calculated for that product.
It should be emphasized that the quotes provided are estimates. There may be other factors that can affect the cost of a shipment that are not taken into account, such as the type of packaging used and the grouping of items. Despite this, the estimates are very accurate.
Once these steps are completed, simply contact Auction Teacher and for a small fee, this service can be activated on your website.
